If you want attention online, it helps to be a teenage girl. But then, that might not be the kind of attention you seek. But then again, given a choice between popularity and lots of attention or being unknown and ignored, perhaps popularity is preferable (especially from behind the safety of firewalls). I mean, if you have a few hundred or thousand people visit your site each day, then at least there is more chance that those who truly care and want to know the real you inside will find you. But if you are unknown and ramble on in obscurity, the chances of anyone finding you are much slimmer.
